Finding Joy in Theology
For many seminary students, their story of being called to seminary involves intending on pursuing one career, but clearly being called to study Scripture and theology instead. For Dr. Jessica Joustra (MDiv '13), what began as a degree in biology turned into asking theological questions and pursuing further study at Calvin Theological Seminary.
From biology to seminary, Dr. Jess Joustra shares her experience journeying through God's path for her career. Jess met a God who has a strong word for her and salvation but also who cared about the plants of the field. By understanding her desire to answer theological questions within biology, she took the next faithful steps into seminary. Since seminary, God has led Jess into higher education, where she teaches students about the care and sovereignty of God.
