For twenty years the Center for Excellence in Preaching at Calvin Theological Seminary has been creating and curating ideas for preachers to spark new and creative ways to preach and vibrantly proclaim God’s Word in their sermons.
Through its website, seminars, and conferences CEP regularly reaches tens of thousands of preachers from around the world who all share a common task: feeding their congregations the bread of life from the Bible and from the Good News of the Gospel of Christ Jesus our Lord.
Providing Sparks of Creativity for Preachers
Every week on the Center for Excellence in Preaching website we jump start the creativity of preachers with sermon commentaries that explore preaching texts, ponder observations and issues in Scripture, and provide illustration ideas. Each Monday we publish new commentaries in English, Spanish, and Korean. The extensive library of sermon commentary articles is easily sorted by OT/NT, book and chapter.

Seminars
